3 men walk into a restaurant and each order the same thing. The waiter brings the bill which totals to $75 ($25 per person). They pay the waiter, who takes it to the manager. The manager is in a good mood so gives them $5 back. The waiter thinks: "I can't split $5 between 3 customers." So she keeps $2. Now the guests have each paid $24. 24 x 3 = 72 plus 2 equals 74. What happened to the extra dollar??? Very Happy

Nah Pham this is not really that difficult. Its like saying there is 3 apples and 2 oranges. Do you have 5 apples? No. Do you have 5 oranges? No. This is a logic riddle.

1st Man - $1
2nd Man - $1
3rd Man - $1
Waiter - $2
Manager - $70

Adding up to $75 Very Happy

the thing you got to watch out for in this riddle is "order of operations".

sense the manager gave back 5 dollars AFTER the customers have payed... then they were paying 70 dollars for the meal...
the customers then each recieved 1 dollar, which multiplyed by 3 is equal to 3, and the waiter kept the last 2 dollars.

by order of operations: 25 * ((5 - 2) / 3) 3 is not equal to (24 X 3) + 2...
